It doesn’t matter where you start, what matters is how you finish. Challenges and adversity shape you to become the highest version of yourself. What seems to be your biggest setback is often your greatest comeback. And the obstacles you face in achieving your goals help you build character, strength, and resilience.
Tupac Shakur said it best in his poem when he refers to himself as The Rose That Grew From Concrete.
Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete? Proving nature's law is wrong It learned to walk without having feet. Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams, it learned to breathe fresh air. Long live the rose that grew from concrete When no one else ever cared.
You miss the blessing in disguise if you focus on where the grass is greener on the other side. A rose has no control over its external world. It grows where it’s planted. Blooming beautifully and fulfilling its purpose in creation.
There is wisdom hidden within the hard times.
Each experience offers self-growth. When things don’t turn out as planned, be thankful. Adversity allows you to grow by refining your abilities. Whatever life throws at you, make the absolute most of it. Hardships develop your willpower and push you through to the other side.
Like the rose, be in tune with nature and persevere along your path to fulfilling your higher purpose. Surrender to your calling and accept that this too shall pass. Let go of your resistance and allow the universe to align you with your desires. There’s light at the end of the tunnel. If you stay focused, one day you will reach your goal. You are being prepared for seasons of abundance and prosperity.
Imagine your future self accomplishing your goals. How will you share your adversity in an acceptance speech after you’ve succeeded?
